Stone Temple Pilots Anaheim Concert reviews
Mannheim Steamroller was great!
The Stone Temple Pilots concert we attended was the 4th one. At the Wells Fargo Theater in downtown Denver, Colorado, only 5,000 seats are available. We noticed approximately 20 empty seats.
The S.T.P. orchestra was flawless, hitting every note and beat. However, the videos shown during some songs lacked presentation quality. The main issue was the limited screen space, with only one screen large enough for their movies. This screen was filmy and pulled across the stage.
There was another screen behind the orchestra, but the videos were displayed as "triplets," making it challenging to watch. Additionally, some parts of the movie had to be shown on the walls on either side of the stage, like the scene with people feasting in the castle.
Many adults, including us, were discussing the need for an update on the film shown during "Carol of the Bells." The outdated and somewhat creepy visuals with the gymnastic-like choreography did not impress us.
Compared to a previous concert at the Pepsi Center, which was nearly sold out and more enjoyable, this one fell short. It's puzzling why they chose the smaller Wells Fargo Theater this time. Perhaps it was due to a previous performance in Cheyenne, WY, and not expecting attendees to travel to Denver.
Overall, the music was exceptional, but the smaller venue limited the effectiveness of the accompanying videos.
